We are essentially a bunch of differently wired people, who have come together due to our shared love for the movies. Actually love is a wrong word, obsession is more like it. We can go on and on for hours. And not just good stuff. We can watch and talk all kinds of cinema. So from a Jaani Dushman - Ek Anokhi Kahani to a Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron; or a David Dhawan film to a David Fincher film (both good cinema) we are absolutely and positively inspired by it all.
There is so much more that we want to tell you about us but our office boy was channel surfing and he just stumbled upon Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. Got to go.
COME ON SANJUUUU!
Founder of Fanboy Pictures. Subodh Menon is an ex agency creative. He comes with over 17 years of advertising experience in writing and about 7 years in direction. After multiple successful campaigns and a great stint in Lowe, he left the agency life to pursue his lifelong dream of having ‘DIRECTOR’ written on the back of his chair. Only to find out that no one does that anymore. Times have changed and these days to be taken seriously as a director, one needs to be seen in a BMW. Which sadly he doesn’t have.
He loves writing, he loves directing, he loves telling stories. But more importantly, he wants that damn car.
Started her career in advertising with Lowe Kolkata. She then spent over 5 years with Lowe Mumbai and 7 more years with Ogilvy Mumbai, where she also won client servicing person of the year. With over 14 years of advertising experience, Smita switched to production about 2 years ago. She is now not only a full time producer, but also a mother, financial expert, our chief party planner and blogger.
Seeing her multitasking the way only she can, we often wonder amongst ourselves - Kya aapke toothpaste mein red bull hai?
Fanboy is great production house and we rate Subodh highly as a director. More and more people should work with him. And I’m not saying this because he owes me money. But seriously, you guys need to work with him. Please.
Subodh is an extremely popular director. Popular amongst waiters at local Shetty bars.
There are a lot of good production houses out there. But what separates Fanboy from the rest are their wrap parties. Live kabab counter, alcohol, music, nagin dance - all essentials for a great wrap party.
Who Subodh? What Fanboy?
More often than not when I read a script, I immediately know that there is no one better than Fanboy to take a 3rd quote from.
9 out of 10 dentists recommend Fanboy Pictures.
